Our First Pop-up Cinema Event
What can I say? This was brilliant. We couldn't have hoped for a smoother execution.
The picture quality was brilliant, true 1080 picture, and flawless images without staggering, blind sports or anything amatuer. The sound needed altering as we started the B-Movie, but this was adjusted before the feature Minions Movie started.
Everyone walked away smiling, and the children were so well behaved. I was very impressed. Obviously there was some kids running about here and there, some noise, toilet runs etc.. But that was what we was aiming for... A comfortable environment where you could take a toddler or your babies without feeling all eyes on you and worrying about making a peep! It was all young families, and a lot of first time cinema goers!
The only tiny thing that went wrong was the dammed pop-corn flavour didn't arrive in-time. They've sent it now and it's all fine, but we had to substitute the flavouring for some "toppers". There isn't anything wrong with that, but we wanted to provide the special cinema only popcorn flavouring. A very small thing in the scheme of things.
We're really pleased with how it all went, it wasn't over-crowded, and at the end of the screening we had a big round of applause. That was pretty epic, to be honest. We're so pleased with how it went, that we will be hosting another one soon! Watch this space!
