When you're hiring a bouncy castle for your kids party in the garden or a hall, noise is pretty much expected from the fan (to a degree). However, for a pop-up cinema or an Inflatable Nightclub, it's the last thing you want...
We struggled with this, and finally found the right solution. A special acoustic hood for our fan. This hood is made of this weird polymer that helps reduce sound, and is insulated with this special sound absorbing foam. We don't know much about the science, but we do know it works!
Here's a video we took today of it running in Dartford. It's running, then you should be able to hear when we take it off, and putting it back on again, and the difference it makes. It's filmed on a phone, so it's never going to be great, but you get the idea.
