Bouncy Castle Hire Safety
So yeah, we recently wrote about RCD's and electrical safety, what else is there to say about it? Well, this is slightly different. We're focusing on the 16 amp ip44 c-form connections, and specifically 3-way splitters. What the hell? Yeah, we know... That's not exactly common or well known terminology.
Basically you need water resistant connections for outside hires. If it rains, you don't want a an extension reel for B&Q, you want real equipment that's rated properly.
However, disco domes require more connections... The speaker system needs something to plug into, the light needs something to plug into and so does the blower. It's un-reasonable to expect a household to have three spare plug sockets and then run three commercial grade leads up the garden.
Yet.. You still can't be using extension reels and non-commercial equipment.
This is where the 3-way splitter comes into play. You can see in the picture that splitter has four connections. One is the input, and then it has three outputs. This splitter is ip44 rated, commercial grade and is built to allow the correct amount of amps to travel through.
You won't find us using house-hold 3 pin plugs. These aren't safe for outside hires where that plus is exposed to the weather. Our speaker systems int he domes, our blowers and our lighting systems all use the ip44 rated connections.
It's something that you would probably never even notice, but it's an important difference, and another reason you can hire from us with confidence.
